Title of the work: PlayskinLift Inspired by Emma
Description: Exoskeletal garment designed for 6 year old research participant with limited limb mobility. The bodice is 100% polyester single knit jersey with an original textile design based on the child’s drawing. The polyester blend ponte knit skirt features cartridge pleats and a magnetic snap front closure. Vinyl casings along the side seam and under arm contain bundled steel wire inserts which support the child’s arm against gravity, allowing for immediate assistance with play and feeding activities. Inserts can have decreasing resistance over time to provide rehabilitative effects.
Elbow Flexion Device. 3D printed elbow flexion splint using both rigid PLA and semi-flexible material to encourage elbow movement in children with upper extremity impairment.
